I actually added to my prior position at $4. I think that the lack of competition will lead the company to profitability, not so much by raising prices but by cutting down the number of flights, personnel and infrastructure. Eventually prices will go up as well. I plan to hold for the long term.

I did not realize that the merger date was as close as April.

I agree... nothing like the elimination of competition! ;-)

I remember a few years ago, a Denver-based airline
called Frontier (FRNT) really took off in price after
one of its competitors folded...

hoping for a similar outcome here...
