Dear d.taggart: Yes, we have reached a SAD state of affairs now in the judiciary process. MANY SEATS remain open since POLITICS have rampantly entered the selection process rather then ABILITY and EXPERIENCE. Just at a time when we need far MORE judges the Democrats are using their leverage in the Senate to oppose NEARLY ALL OF THE NOMINEES. Daschle is rapidly becoming IMHO the MOST UNAMERICAN of all our Senators. His allegence seems to be PURELY to the DEMOCRAT PARTY not to the AMERICAN PEOPLE, this is especially serious as a Senator as there are only two from a state and thus individually they have so much power. I really cannot understand the people of S. Dakota. If we have any here on this thread I wish they would give us some input as to why they make that choice. JDN
