Did you forget Krugman???

Absolutely not. I didn't mention Ralph Reed, Larry Kudlow, Frank Luntz by name.

Notice that James Carville didn't take the money.

Make a list off the article...two columns...liberals and conservatives and see who has the longer list.

Notice that James Carville didn't take the money. ... Looks like Jimmy C. has more ethics than the lot. Damn how does that make you feel?...Jim Carville is more ethical than Larry Kudlow. That's a pretty low bar. <s>

Speaking of Boston....generally your territory..What the hell is the Catholic Church doing up there...stuffing the area with pervert priests? Are these the same perverts that are against Pro-Choice? Father Christopher Reardon would make a great poster for the "Right to Lifers". Sign him up.

Parishioners support Law's decision to remain at helm
By Ken Maguire, Associated Press, 2/10/02

BOSTON -- A confident Cardinal Bernard Law was interrupted by applause Sunday when he vowed he would not step down, despite mounting pressure from the archdiocese's child sex abuse scandal.

"Archbishop is not a corporate executive. He's not a politician," Law said before his homily during Mass at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross. "It's a role of a pastor. It's a role of a teacher. It's a role of a father.

"When there are problems in the family, you don't walk away. You work them out together with God's help," he said.

Pressure on Law has been escalating since the Jan. 18 conviction of defrocked priest John Geoghan, who faces 10 years in prison for indecent assault and battery on a 10-year-old boy. Geoghan also faces two more criminal trials and 80 civil lawsuits.

Law subsequently apologized to abuse victims, acknowledging he'd handled the problem poorly but with good intentions and announced a policy of "zero tolerance" for sexual abuse.

The archdiocese initially gave authorities names of 40 accused priests and said none was active, but in the past week, eight active priests were suspended because of allegations of abuse..........
