I believe projections for the Nasdaq breaking old highs in the 5000 range within two years are really, really optimistic. I doubt there's anyone who's going to argue that the Nasdaq experienced a bubble. Looking at history as a guide into human behavior and psychology, every major bubble in the past century experienced a prolonged period of stagnation before the next bull market emerged. This time we're dealing with not only an issue of overcapacity in the tech sector but a credit bubble too (which has yet to correct).

That's why you should have a diversified portfolio consisting of bonds, cash, real estate, annuities, whole life insurance or maybe even some precious metals or coins (perhaps even gold) for kicks. Well, you get the idea.
