I'm not much in favor of the UN, but IMO terrorism has become an international problem -- as I recall, citizens of 83 countries died in the WTC bombing -- so I think it needs an international response. I don't see it as our responsibility to be policemen for the world. But I do view the Palenstinians, the IRA, the Red Brigade, etc. all as terrorist organizations the civilized world should unite to try to destroy to the extent possible. We will never totally root out terror, but a unified world response can, IMO, help a lot.
