Sidney, time is simply a mathematical construct used to measure alterations in space. Repeatable alterations in space (e.g., earth's rotation) allow for measurement and predictability. The velocity of light represents the maximum value at which alterations in space can occur (the rate at which a photon of light changes it's position in space). It isn't time that 'moves forward'...mathematical constructs do not. It is simply changed states and how you measure it depends on what you're measuring, with what, and your own movements.

Time will become confused only if we become confused.
