We're the mexica, dammit, that Cortés and his pakeha rabble got it all wrong with 'azteca', it's pronounced not as the name of the nation but as meh-xSHEE-ca ... sort of ... i've forgotten exactly what 'azteca' referred to, partly because, um, i'm from maya country -g-

But i agree with much of what you say, for instance yes it's silly to blame AG, he was pressured into doing what he did, even the extreme printing of cash pre-2000 in case of panic over y2k, what else could he do ... such is the nature of government

And sure, trends trend on too long sometimes when they really get rolling ... we've all seen stocks we follow get way too high or way too low according to as close as we can get to an 'historical objective viewpoint' ... those are not the words i'm looking for but you know what i mean - that whole thing of 'the trend is your friend', that's ingrained in the species ... if it rains today it'll probably rain tomorrow, most places in the world you're pretty safe saying that, because weather comes in patterns of more than two days generally .... lately at a local pub there's been a soup that is distinctive, i like it a lot and have had it maybe five times now - next time i go to that pub i expect it to be on the menu again ... why? - because the trend is my friend

Now this new PoG trend - seems to me you liked the old PoG trend better, well tough luck ... i sat here and watched dot.bomb garbage get bid to the sky and beyond, such is life ..... this PoG trend is new, barely started, it is imho a tich premature to be screaming ooooo scarey-boo too high too high .... i mean c'mon, three hundreds lousy USD, i've spent more than that on dinner and dancing in one night

<Those who think Uncle Al caused the bubble are fooling themselves. They'll be sucked in by the golden bubble too >

You don't have to believe Al caused the 'bubble' to see the case of gold... you simply have to notice the increase in the money supply... and then watch what is happening in Japan.

Looks like we're finally getting a correction btw.
