Today (so far) is a good vindication of those of us long the stock. Those with conviction. My broker called me with concern to ask me if there is anything I wanted to do. I said what was happening was a bunch of planned crap and if I were to do something, it would be to buy (and suggested him do so). That institute could easily have come out when the earnings came out 2 weeks back. They waited till the stock was sitting at a critical support level. THAT should be investigated, not Qcom's accounting. IMO. Steve D.

>> Both Nokia and Nortel have a lot of debt that makes it more difficult to play this game.

I held that impression of Nokia as well, but when Eric L. challenged me, I discovered it was far from accurate. Their latest WSRN tear sheet shows an enviable debt/equity ratio of 0.02%.

Seems to me they're making the most out of a low margin business model. Maybe Dr. J should hire some of Nokia's bean counters, as Qualcomm, with its incredible margins, doesn't seem to know how to present itself favorably to the street. Q's like a beautiful woman with no sense of fashion.
