No, Chris. The name gives me pause. In a wealth laboratory, I'd probably blow something up.

But seriously, Larry made some interesting remarks about system profit tests, suggesting that past results don't mean future results. He said to divide the period being tested into four equal periods, and then to compare the results for each. The point was that they tend to differ significantly. I have found that past results in tests don't guarantee future results in trading -- far from it, in fact. And some systems that don't do well in mechanical tests do perform well in trading.

ESignal plans to introduce system testing in later versions. I'm busily coding my favorite custom indicators into their new prebeta charts. The language is JavaScript, and I've found that it isn't difficult to translate complex indicators from other languages, such as Metastock and VB. The prebeta includes some helpful coding examples. The point here is that the new eSignal allows you to plot custom indicators. I've got the complacency indexes in eSignal now, along with a lot of my own support and resistance lines.
