There may well be value in such implantable monitoring devices. There would be huge opposition by those concerned with a government that already is eroding our civil liberties in the name of Homeland Defense. (i'm not saying that Homeland Defense is essential in light of 9-11, but the government has requested changes in the laws that have the potential to seriously erode the rights we cherish. if applied to terrorist, no problemo, if extended to "dissendents, radicals, etc" grave concern. And the memory of Nazi stamped numbers on the Jews and others will not be forgotten. On the other hand, good way to keep track of older folks who "wander". hmm, send some to Ron and Nemer for testing. and think of all the husband and wives who will be able to get a printout of where their loved ones have been. larry
