12:06 ET ONI Systems upped by Credit Lyonnais (ONIS) 5.58 +0.47: Credit Lyonnais upgrades intraday to BUY from Hold, citing the following reasons: OSMINE certification and product differentiation provide key barriers to entry; metro mkt growth and increasing traction with incumbents expected to drive long-term sales and EPS growth; and benefits from restructuring, moderate cash burn rate, and a solid balance sheet provide support.

my broker has gone long cisco in a big way recently.

I'm only willing to post this on this thread... but... he thinks cisco will return to 80...

his rationale is that cisco is gaining major share and picking up all this technology on the cheap after the meltdown. They don't issue PRs on some of the failed startups they've bought. Overall he thinks picking up telecom here is the best play and valuation-wise if msft can maintain its mkt cap, cisco should be able too also, since NT etc. are all so broken. He stays away from the little guys but jnpr, extr and rstn he likes too.
