Like other stocks and commodities, gold fluctuates. There is a cult of end-of-the-worlders that constantly predict a major, horrific, worse-than-the-'30s crash the will bring back the Gold Standard with $1000/oz or $3000/oz or $5000/oz or.... Pick a number. The players change, but they are always with us.

Oh yes, golds are down today.
