hard to judge USdollar is too high?
try examining the cost of a gallon of milk
a taxicab ride
a sixpack of beer
a loaf of bread
a dinner out at a restaurant
now convert currencies
that is the most reliable measure in this fuzzy business

once heard a few years ago that a taxicab ride from Tokyo Airport to downtown costs $250
from Logan Airport to outlying Boston hotels costs $30
from LaGuardia Airport to outlying NYCity hotels costs a bit more perhaps, or possibly less

or better yet, ask an exporting US firm
they have been crying loud for 4-5 years now
perhaps you and we are insulated from hearing such cries

above are specifics on how to judge the dollar's strength
the fact that you dont know, that means the potential for extremes is out there all the time

the next Enron is likely to be JPMorgan
check out their derivative monster
and collusion with gold price suppression
not just illegal stuff with offshore banks
this is a different league
