I would be very interested in such a project. For the last several months, I have been tracking a list of stocks that either I felt looked like good shorts, or someone whose posts I respected thought looked like good shorts. As a group, they are currently down 13%.

Methodology is extremely problematic, for a host of reasons:

1) It's not always clear what is a short sell call and what isn't.

2) If I see a short sell call, should I use the price at the time the call was made, or the price at the time I notice it?

3) What should I do about position sizes?

4) What if a stock is difficult to borrow? Is it fair to include something if I can't borrow it?
