It is absolutely MISERABLE HERE. (Quick, shut the windows- turn the heat on)SO GREY AND DAMP AND AWFUL! (Close the drapes! Don't let her see the redbud starting to bloom)I CAN HARDLY STAND IT! I AM FREEZING TO DEATH!(Throw that blanket over my legs so she doesn't see I have shorts on) THE CAR TOOK SO LONG TO START THIS MORNING, I THOUGHT THE ENGINE HAD FROZEN! (Remind me to put the top up after dinner, will you?) THESE DALLAS WINTERS ARE ENDLESS!

OKOK I'm sorry. That was mean.
You can rub it in in August when it is 115 degrees here and hasn't rained in months. IN fact, I seem to remember you doing jus that last year....writing about cool nights on the lake, soft summer rain...
I take it back. You deserve this post.

WHy on earth are you reading a book about depression when you are sick? You should be reading something like the Mitford series. Some soothing lozenge for the mind.

It is a terrible winter. It was 85, sunny, and the air was absolutely crystal clear except for the huge brown plume of smoke erupting from the Coal Canyon brushfire. Will this cruel winter never end? I can't wait for June, when every day will be gloomy and cold.
