I've run dog trials where the disease was hot. Deer ticks you can hardly see where brown dog ticks swell up with blood and look like a lima bean.

What you have to warn her about is a sore that has a red ring around it. That's an infected tick bite.

BTW, there's a place on the scalp where if you get a tick bite you'll be paralyzed for several days.
