I have a friend who just won't stop talking about how he is going clown long that stock. He is even pouring on the margin as he considers it "free" money with the yield. I told him yield is so high because they must be in danger of canceling the yield, but he won't hear anything of it. He thinks he is "outsmarting" the market and being conservative even. He says no more tech stocks for him, now he is just playing big yields and oil companies, because these are "safe" sure things. Of course this is the same guy who took out 5 or 6 credit cards in 1999 to go long CSCO because it would ALWAYS grow faster than the APR of his CC, jesus, some people never learn. On an aside he is buying a new house in SF, convinced it is safe since housing has held up. He says real estate in the city will NEVER go down and is ALWAYS a good place to store some money. Must be a sign of some sort. Lucky for him he is a trust fund kid and doesn't need the money. It is funny though because he will NOT gamble in vegas. He always says "a fool and his money..." I always think to myself..ho ho ho
