Paul,
I do recall reports of silver trading being halted at the LBMA or somewhere due to Enron being short silver and announcing bankruptcy.

At the time I remember thinking it was too far out for Enron to have silver derivatives! I didn't believe, at the time, that anyone made it up, as it was reported very close to the bankruptcy announcement.

Should have saved the references I read at the time, but I suppose little is outside the realm of the imagination these days, perhaps not even Enron being a convenient waste dump for toxic pm derivative contracts.
