Tench, your view is still distorted IMO. For AMD it's been about survival. For Intel it's been about ruling it all. Intel doesn't believe in being a team player, whereas AMD has been trying to involve everyone.

AMD isn't scrambling, Intel has been for the last two years.

It's about the business practices to me that makes the difference.

"Honest Scales and balances are from the LORD; all the weights in the bag are of his making" Proverbs 16:11

"Whether we buy or sell, make a product or offer a service, we know what is honest and what is dishonest. Sometimes we feel pressure to be dishonest in order to advance ourselves or gain more profit. But if we want to obey God, there is no middle ground. God demands honesty in every business transaction. No amount of rationalizing can cover for a dishonest business practice. Honesty and fairness is not always easy, but it is what God demands. Ask him for discernment and courage to be consistently honest and fair."

This is a quote from my study guide on Proverbs. I thought it might give you more insight into my views as I don't see Intel operating even close to this belief. AMD isn't perfect, but they are more honest about product performance and value.

The Lord detests differing weights, and dishonest scales do not please him Proverbs 20:23
