But you know the memory of 9/11 runs so deeply that we know that we gotta take more preventative action. And the president outlined some of the steps last night in his address and i think that congress supports him Charlie."Gibson , "Do you think the Congress would support military action if it came to that? Against those three countries?"Daschle , "I think they would. I think there is a strong belief the we need to do whatever is necessary in order to prevent the kind of attacks we saw last fall. I think that it's important for us to look to each of these countries Jim to ahh, as, as threats to this country clearly. As problems to address clearly. But I think that we've got to be very careful with the rhetoric of that kind. You've already seen the moderates in Iran scramble to distance themselves from us. And I think you've got to be careful how you treat all three countries..
