I, too, feel the market has reacted too heavily on short-term problems for both AXTI and EMKR. The big sell-off in CREE, which I suspect was company specific, didn't help either.

Now I've taken positions in both AXTI and EMKR. I agree with your observations and analysis but am not too worried about timing the ultimate entry points. I've held back some reserves available for more shares should one or both fall further.
