Hi all,

The question of what issues were raised by HC has been discussed here. It would have been good to have some more details in the President's message.

Nevertheless, two things make me somewhat hopeful that the issues raised were not serious ones about "safety and efficacy". First, if there were such serious issues, I doubt that REK would have come out blasting away at HC's delays with both barrels. The fact that she seems to be interpreting their questions as a matter of delaying the process as opposed to totally rejecting the application may be a hint of what issues were indeed raised.

Second, the stock price has actually held up pretty well, considering the shock. There was no massive panic selling. Maybe the big players are in the know as to what issues were raised.

Maybe I am grasping at straws. Now waiting for the FDA. If they come through with a "yes", then whether HC gives its final approval or not will hardly make a difference to the stock price ... though it will be a negative for osteoarthritis Canadians who would like to have access to a lotion like Pennsaid.
