David,

Talked to a rancher when we were in Australia. They were staying at our hotel and we had breakfast and cocktails with them. These people were organized into co-ops and certainly worried about the currency. The co-op bought US$'s directly to hedge short term.

Currently my investments in Australia are in IAF, FAX and FCO. Personally believe the Aussy$ is undervalued relative to the US$, but have been thinking this way for a couple of years. <g>

Did have a chance to open a Aussy bank account when I was over there, but had not done my homework on the tax effect of the transaction. Opening that account and buying Aussy$ AAA debt would have been a good idea --- so far.
