I used to be a LTBH too. I thought it is impossible to sidestep bear-markets until I avoided one. I still am a proponent of LTBH but only on a selective basis -- for things like BRK, MO, WRE and a few strategy index funds like HFCGX. I will probably never do LTBH with indexes like the S&P 500 again...

saw on CNN that Nokia is rumbling with Finnish govt
they want to see reduced tax overhead
threatening to move some operations out of heavily taxed Finland
mentioned that high taxes weakens Nokia competitively
nothing more discussed, but interesting, ongoing battle

nice recovery by QCOM
but now facing overhead moving average resistance
