I am very happy that you are doing well. Family is the most important thing. As far as I am concerned, the only use for the money is to take good care of the family, so as long as they do well, who cares what happens in the market.

Asia is too complex to describe. Aside from the global economy bearing down on them, China is having a profound effect on the region. South Korea will be in bigger trouble 5 years from now as they are in today. On the other hand, the services sector may do better. There is more Chinese tourists in the region than there was a few years back. I also briefly visited some of the southern (former) soviet republics. It is pretty scary. Any escalation of conflicts in the middle east and India area, could cause a massive explosion that will last for at least a decade. This is of course just my opinion, but I don't like all the saber rattling that I hear. Canada is doing well.

I also took the time to book in a couple of ski trips. The lack of snow around the world is quite disturbing. I am seriously considering buying land shares in Canada's ski country. In a few years they may be the only place you can ski.
