Make VT the repository of all nuclear waste to honor Jim Jeffords's political fecklessness. ___________________________________________________________ As for Nevada, isn't it funny, the local pols - the previous Dem guv and Senators in NV wanted all those Federal dollars to build the place. They just don't want to let it to be used. Think about it. The reason the GOP may be temporizing is that Chic Hecht and Santini both lost Senate races because they supported storage. The Dems took huge contributions from the gambling industry to oppose storage. The Dems played both sides to their advantage and now the local GOP isn't gonna let that happen again. I suspect that the court cases will be last a much shorter duration than that story suggests.
