Ah, just like the old days of the Internet. Less than a
week after Overture Services (OVER) shares plunged 41% in one day, the stock is
up 24% Tuesday. The latest news is that Overture inked a deal to supply paid
search listings to Microsoft's (MSFT) MSN service, which will boost Overture's
revenue. Also, Goldman Sachs analyst Anthony Noto upgraded Overture to his
"recommended list" from a "market outperform" rating. Overture is set to report
4Q results after market close Tuesday; it's already said it'll beat its
previous earnings target of 17 cents a share "by a wide margin." Oh, by the
way, the stock tumbled last week on news that Earthlink (ELNK) dropped it as a
partner. Seems so long ago.
