I can't imagine any trader wanting to hold an AMAT position into the earnings, long or short. The market reaction to their news could go either way, no matter what the news is. To me, anyway, there's no way to judge that short term.

XMI just went practically from hod to lod in less than an hour, would I be wrong to be impressed by that?

edit: should clarify, just seems to imply weakness to me, all day grind up yesterday erased in a few minutes this morning, all day grind today, all erased, sellers abound I think.
