RE>Duh Awards

The 1st time I upgraded my OS I followed the directions in the
Windows 98 upgrade book exactly, sort of. It said something like:

At the C:\ prompt type setup.exe.

So naturally I included the period in the command and it wouldn't work.
Since I bought the box with 95 Compaq wouldn't support 98 so I called
Microsoft. They wanted $35 to help me which I agreed to. After I told
them my problem the tech answered my question with a question.
He said "What does a sentence end with?" I bitched that the Microsoft
Win 98 upgrade book was ambiguous that I shouldn't be billed the tech
apologized but said that had to charge me, however I when I received my
credit card statement I wasn't billed.
