Re: Jesus and Hell How do you interpret Matthew 25 in light of your post? The reference to judgement and eternal punishment seems pretty unambiguous in that chapter.

I see you've read ACIM, but apparently not the bible. Who told you that Jesus did not teach about the reality of Hell? BTW While there are many denominations, the central teachings of the bible are not in dispute amongst the vast majority of Christians. The bible is really quite plain about the main issues. Hell is one of them. I see Bill asked a very good question, and he does not claim to be a Christian. Do you have an answer? Hell is so clearly taught in the bible that even those who do not believe it, acknowledge that Jesus teaches about it. What leads you to believe the contrary?

If evil wasn't present in everyONE of us FREEWILL would be an impossibility. Every individual is completely FREE to chose, based on their will - which is what they love interiorly - and their understanding - which is what they naturally receive and accept as being truth - exteriorly. There are only TWO (2) fundamental choices which represent TWO (2) roads that DO NOT - contrary to the spin, smoke and fire of mankind's religion - overlap. 1) Love of God and the neighbor 2) Love of self and the world Road/path #1 = Heaven Road/path #2 = Hell Each individual's natural inherited evil will ALWAYS chose Hell over Heaven. And each individuals divine soul - which is our connection directly to the Lord who is our Father in Heaven - will ALWAYS lead us, guide us, support us, carry us while loving and forgiving us on the Royal Highway which leads to our true spiritual home in Heaven. The way these forces and spirits from Heaven and Hell work in us and through us are deeply interior to our natural understanding. For this is the realm of true reality which is entirely spiritual in nature. The metaphor for spiritual reality the collection of choices we all make: 1) the film, 2) the theatre, 3) the seats which include the things we eat while inside the theatre. We also have the air, temperature, sounds and smells in the movie theatre through which the light from the movie projector passes. And the breakdown is as follows: 1) THE END = GOD - the source of ALL light, energy, love. and all material, objectified reality in the universe. 2) THE CAUSE = the entire production of creating the movie which includes it's core tenor and quality along with the ideas and thoughts chose to receive which influence the actions that take us to the theatre so we can receive a spritual-causal rendition of what we know, understand and love as truth. 3) THE EFFECT = is simply the combination of 1) the glowing specks of silver sand on the screen along with the sound that tracks with the movie being projected inside the projector; and 2) the impact the movie has on both our natural and spiritual understanding of ourselves, others and this universe which influence the thoughts and ideas we chose to receive based on what we love and will. After leaving the theatre there's always 1) an interior energy, idea and thought track which is spiritual in nature - reflecting that which we love or will; and 2) an exterior energy, idea and thought track which is natural in nature which is more from memory and which requires words and language which we use with others to communicate our feelings. If the interior spiritual thought-energy track is different from the exterior natural thought-energy track then we have a dual-split mind effect where we are aware of ourselves from two different perspectives. If good and evil did not exist inside and outside of us it would be impossible for us to even be aware this outside vs. inside dual-track conflict which is the core essence behind the warring forces of good vs. evil. If we chose evil interiorly then our ONE End becomes Love of self and this world. And from this ONE End will proceed to manifest causal-spiritual transmissions of energy which will inevitably bubble up into becoming "effects" which manifest in the form of words and actions in this world. But if we chose good interiorly then our ONE End becomes the Love of the Lord and the neighbor. And from this ONE End will proceed to manifest causal-spiritual transmissions of energy which will inevitably bubble up into becoming "effect" which manifest in the form of words and actions in this world which are simply reflections of our Lord's Love for us and others. The co-existent presence of "Good and Evil" preserves the ONE force in the universe without which NOTHING would exist: LOVE. And......
