Interesting question, Frank. Nothing leaps out. Kuwait was hardly a defense of democracy but that was Win's point. Kosovo, et al, were not, best I can tell, defenses of democracy or economic interests. Much more noble. Haiti may be an attempt to create some democratic institutions. But I'm just rambling. No great, glaring events. The 90s were so much about domestic issues in this country.

Just to light a fire, I will observe that it was about saving the country from bankruptcy, done by the second best US president since the second Roosevelt. (g)
