jjstingray...DJX puts quite cheap too. Can be more lucrative than QQQs i think.

jj, I hate the Dow. I think it belongs on the scrap heap. However, the cheap options and distant targets make it a very compelling choice for me right now. Furthermore, I don't have to watch it as close over the next couple of days, since I will be away from the market most of Thursday.

I also have been trying to slowly pull back and only do swing trades at macro pivot highs and lows. I figure I can do the DJX thing here, get QQQ April calls when the low is in, flip to USPIX/UOPIX for the re-traces off an expected Spring high, and /or go for DJX July puts for a summer re-trace before a drop in the fall. Anyway, that's my plan, and it has zero chance of happening the way I like, but it is good to dream <G>.

I think if you can wait for NDX 1497 or so, the QQQ's may be better puts. I'm not exactly certain that's going to happen, so that's another reason I went with the DJX, which is pretty much spent.
