Micronic's Q4 sales surge 69% sequentially despite downturn Semiconductor Business News (02/12/02 18:54 p.m. EST) siliconstrategies.com TABY, Sweden -- Micronic Laser Systems AB today reported sales of $30.5 million (MSEK 322) for its fourth quarter of 2001, down 10.3% from the like period a year but up 68.7% from the previous quarter. The company also posted a profit of $10.1 million (MSEK 109) in the quarter, compared to $7.1 million (MSEK 75) in the like period a year ago. In the previous quarter, it posted a loss of $4.6 million. For the year, the company posted sales of $66.2 million (MSEK 699), compared to $66.7 million (MSEK 704) in 2000. It reported a profit of $852,272 (MSEK 9) in 2001, compared to $8.5 million (MSEK 90) a year ago.
