I should be more specific, I believe that energy prices will increase. Not sure how this will effect actual energy stocks.

But it is mainly the charts. Here is the XOI. It has broken through the Bearish Resistance line and is riding the Bullish support line and looks to be forming a bit of a triangle.

On top of this, I don't see how things happening in the mideast can do anything but cause prices to go up.

Further, low energy prices were one of the things that Greenspan had as a requirement for the economic recovery to take hold. Light crude was at $18 at that point and resting on support. That was pretty much my cue that the bottom was in.
