JPM, C, the US govt., Kitco, anyone who deals in paper gold should be questioned and held to absolute accounting standards. There should be no fractional banking in any hard asset like gold, wheat, or real estate. Can you imagine the Hell you'd catch if you sold/rented the same house to 2-8 different parties at the same time?

There is a conflict, isn't there ? I mean if you claim to have very high standards and "gold is money", you would not do business with a firm that treats gold as just a commodity and is allegedly the center of the evil cartel.

Franco Nevada also has such a conflict. Lassonde talks of hedging as resposible for all the evils of the gold mining business, FN does not hedge, NEM will close all NDY hedges, etc... Meanwhile over 50% of FN's revenues comes from cashing Barrick royalty checks. If Barrick is the center of the evil hedging empire, why do business with them ?
