There's still no violence involved. "/distribution/manufactur/cultivation/importation/or sales" does not hurt anyone. famm.org Seriously though, read these cases and think - who would you rather keep in prison, these people or murderers, rapists, and child molesters? A murder rap is usually good for 7-10 yr served, rape 3-5, child molesters a little longer but they are always getting out. Life without parole for growing pot, but 3 years for rape? 10 years for taking a human life? The real criminals are eligible for early parole, but the non-violent drug offender serving a mandatory minimum is not. We are letting the real criminals out of prison to make room for the non-violent ones. The "War on Drugs" will never be won the way we fight it. We will only waste money and throw away lives.
