Actually I found that the property tax rate for collier county is around 15 mils where Palm beach county is limited to 10 mils by the county's constitution. Go to each counties property tax web site.

Dear Zoltan: Well, if you are really interested I can pull my last years property tax bills and give you the total MILLAGE. Its not just the county tax its EVERYTHING. Hey, I am disappointed over it also. I was planning on retiring on my 2 1/2 acres of property there and enjoying life BUT the way they have been hitting me on RAW LAND I am almost afraid to build there anymore. jdn
