Jim...American Eagles, Maple Leafs and Kruggerands all fall into the same bucket. They're contemporary gold based currencies. Their values rise and fall with the commodity.

The St Guadin and its ilk are numismatically driven first, then are somewhat pegged to the commodity markets. Buying the right quality numismatic is head and shoulders above buying Eagles, Maple Leafs or Rands.

I was very aggressive with collectibles in the early 80s (like everyone else with a little extra income). It was the thing to do (a great investment). Seems like there are some early warning signs, the cycle is going to repeat itself.

Am I going to resume my investment style of the early 80s? NO WAY!!!!!

Do I think the U.S. dollar is headed south, relative to the Euro? NO WAY, because it is fundamentally sound (ask some of the Europeans who vacation in the U.S.).

Keep the faith, bud.
