You have no idea what you're talking about. And you forgot to add the Court of Appeals REMOVED that judge for being blatantly prejudiced. And you further confuse result with remedy.

Settling is always an option, especially when the remedy wanted by the extremists - breakup - had little chance anyway.

I assume, since your knowledge base is so limited, that you don't know that the DOJ spent most of two decades suing IBM - to no constructive purpose. These things can go on forever.

Considering the horrific effect the politically-induced Microsoft case was having on the markets, the DOJ acted wisely in the interests of the national economy by settling and helping keep the greedy predators from having their way.
