Hi all, good news: Juniper's market share decreased in the latest quarter from 32% to 26.9%. Cisco is kicking their asses. Excuse the vulgarity.

Take Juniper (NasdaqNM:JNPR - news). Last night some data came out, the equivalent of this industry's Nielsen ratings, that Juniper lost huge market share (Dell'Oro numbers) to Cisco (NasdaqNM:CSCO - news) in routers. Juniper declined from 32% to 26.9%.

As far as Cisco, Nortel, and Lucent, the proof is in the pudding. Chambers is still around, but McGinn and Roth are history.

Anyway, one way you can see the overlap is to go to www.delloro.com and then click on a market segment (routers, switches, optical, etc), and then click on Vendor maps. These show all the vendors for a particular product category, which will show where Cisco and Nortel compete in the same spaces.
