Delete the bolded words and this is exactly what CWG means when it says that to create ourselves we must first uncreate ourselves. This is neither "unfortunate" nor "problematic". Indeed it is the very fount and glory of creation itself. It is simply the manifestation of the dictum that in the absence of that which I am not, that which I am is not.
