Look at how many shares of Microsoft your buddies Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer have sold, for comparison.

Dear Brian: Thats why I hate these damn stock option programs. They have gotten totally out of hand and the original purpose to insure employees have a STAKE in the company gets distorted when people, even ones like Scott, whom I personally like, can DUMP so many shares on the market. I agree, no wonder the damn stock is in the pits. JDN

<<about 55.6 million shares >>

And he sold 960,000...not a very large % at all...plus, they were options issued at .88

if it were me and I had 55 million shares, I would probably sell a million shares every now and then regardless of stock price...especially if they were options at .88

can you blame anybody for getting close to a million shares at .88 and selling them for over $11, in this crazy market? I am sure if any of us was in mcnealys shoes, we would do the same......take that profit and run.....thats alot of money that secures his future no matter what....yet he still owns 54 million shares <ggg>......and while he is selling a small % of shares he received from options...a very small %, I may add, the company itself, is buying back stock on the open market........
