Thanks for the info on NEM. That's a lot of upgrading and downgrading within a short time.

I, too, worked on the assumption that the Pru sell call is a gift. Soon fund managers will notice that the gold sector is about the only way anyone has made money buying stocks for the last year and a half. When they start looking for "exposure" to gold, I figure they'll pile into NEM as the largest producer, and a "safe" North American, to boot. Sort of like the way they buy IBM when they want exposure to tech.

It's kind of funny to think of a gold company as a bloated pig, like IBM. But it will happen. Of course, then it will be time to sell.
