at, true but equity options are still expiring friday and that would include the QQQs too.

I guess this topic is just too complicated for me.

Futures not QQQ options.
As for max pain - I looked again.
Either there are more QQQ options since I last looked or I missread.

QQQ max pain is 37 on the nose, perhaps slightly above.
Judging from todays action it sure appears they want the 37's in both directions to expire worthless.

On Wed the major damage is usually finished.
On thursday and friday expect "fine tuning" by the crooks.

One must figure they have us where they want us.
Looking ahead, I see max pain next month is QQQ 40.
I would not advise staying short, too long on the next downdraft (if it happens at all)
