Good point you bring up about Greenspan pumping up rates. I've read that most folks don't expect there to be any significant inflationary pressures in 2002 at all. At first blush, I thought to myself, "What?! With all the deficit spending, we're sure to have inflationary pressures." But anyway, ECRI and others feel that because of productivity lead gains and a slow recovery, we won't get upward price pressure, which they conclude means rates won't be raised for the remainder of 2002. If I find the article, I'll post it.

So anyway, if you are looking for rate changes as your signal, you may miss it. But April-May doldrums are a good bet for an entry point. That's what I'm waiting for.
