The son thought I was Neil playing some part in the motor wars (a dispute about ownership of the patent). Possibly the motor inventors got the idea from me that the patent had reverted to them. In any event, the son got quiet, probably assuming (very reasonably) when in doubt, say nothing. In any event, I was genuinely hoping you might shed more light on who Neil is. I don't mean to suggest it diminishes your credibility (etc.) if you don't know him, and I didn't mean to appear to be trying to trick you. - Charles
