I don't know about you, but I find 3GIO and PCI-X to be complementary. One can easily create a bridge chip to wire in PCI-X slots, given a 3GIO interface, can't they? And then they'd have both - 3GIO for future expansion and performance, and PCI-X for compatibility and legacy support. It's interesting that the analysts find these technologies destructive, though. I guess that makes it sound more sensational? wbmw
