No, my defense is that there is plenty of evidence that Clinton gave Enron what it wanted - huge government backed loans for huge overseas boondoggles like the India plant and the Senate rejected Kyoto - and that Bush did not.

Heck, even regime leftovers like Rubin were calling, trying to influence the Treasury to get the rating agencies to back off Enron so Rubin could work things to Citigroup's advantage. Treasury turned Rubin down flat.
