The Global Crossing "scandal" is getting lost amidst the Enron coverage in the papers and on the TV squawk shows. The press won't become concerned about GX until the Enron drama plays out. And by that time it'll be old news. The Enron scandal is unique. GX, on the other hand, is part of a sectorwide meltdown, i.e., Winstar, Teligent, to name a couple. Enron has become a metaphor for Big Business corruption. And, lest we forget, the GOP is the party of Big Business. Can't argue that point, pal.
