I've been thinking that the SPX could hit the 200 SMA and then fall again.

That would form a slightly different descending fork. I figure that one would work better than the one that's currently shown. Reason is that the center tine would hit the tops of 8/2 and 8/25 better. In other words, the resulting fork would have been tested twice already.

Buuuttttt ... my longs got covered today for sure ...
